Kelsea Ballerini to Perform at 59th Annual Grammy Awards

The Recording Academy has just announced that Best New Artist nominee Kelsea Ballerini will be among the country acts performing at the upcoming 2017 Grammy Awards.

The "Yeah Boy" singer not only snagged her very first Grammy nod, but she'll also be a first-time Grammy performer. Ballerini couldn't help but show her enthusiasm on Twitter, responding to the Recording Academy's tweet by saying, "And just like that, it gets even more real. See you Sunday!"

She continued to be adorable by tweeting her mom about the occasion. "MOM, PUT YOUR DANCIN SHOES ON AND TISSUES IN YOUR CLUTCH...ITS HAPPENING," she excitedly wrote.

Ballerini isn't the only country singer that will grace the Grammy Awards stage. Fellow Best New Artist nominee Maren Morris will join Alicia Keys for what's sure to be a powerhouse duet performance. Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban will also be taking the stage together for what's likely to be a preview of their new single, "The Fighter." John Legend, Metallica, The Weeknd and Katy Perry are among some of the evening's other scheduled performers.

Ballerini and Morris will be going up against The Chainsmokers, Chance the Rapper and Anderson .Paak for the coveted Best New Artist award. You can check out the full list of this year's Grammy nominees here.

The 59th Annual Grammy Awards, hosted by James Corden, will air live on Feb. 12 via CBS.
