Keith Urban plans to reveal a big announcement by calling up a few lucky fans next week.
The country megastar will be hosting a “live, interactive phone and streaming event” through Vekeo on Jan. 11 at 12 p.m. EST, 11 a.m. CST. Urban will reportedly be ringing up a few lucky fans through the Vekeo platform to discuss his endeavors for the coming year, and is sure to drop a few big announcements along the way.
The 48-year-old has kept his cards close to his chest, so exactly what he will be revealing is anyone’s guess. But most of what we can gather Urban’s social media pages point to the release date for his upcoming studio album, tentatively titled Ripcord, which is set to hit store shelves some time this year through Capitol Records.
The country star curiously tweeted the word back in October, leaving fans on the edge of their seats for his next announcement.

Urban has also yet to announce any touring plans for 2016, so we’d expect an initial announcement about upcoming live dates isn’t out of the question. The single for the album, “John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16”, was debuted on YouTube back in October.
For fans who want to be the first to know what Keith has to say, you’ll have to register for a chance to get a coveted phone call from the superstar. If that lottery doesn’t suit your liking, stay tuned to Wide Open Country for the latest developments surrounding Keith and his band.
