Kacey Musgraves and Cody Johnson have been tapped as headliners for the free concert series at this year’s Texas State Fair.
Musgraves, an East Texas native, will kick off the concert series on September 30 at the Chevrolet Main Stage. Fellow country singer and Texan Cody Johnson is also set to perform on October 8, while country DJ Bobby Bones and his band the Raging Idiots are scheduled to take the stage on October 9.
Singer-songwriter Ben Rector, Christian artist Colton Dixon, Americana trio The Quebe Sisters, rap artist Nelly, southern rockers Prophets and Outlaws, Austin blues group The Peterson Brothers, classic disco band Le Freak, alternative Christian rockers Skillet, La Energía Norteña and the Chris Perez Project are also scheduled as headliners during the fair. Admission to all of these concerts are included with a ticket to the fair.
The 2016 State Fair of Texas is themed “Celebrating Texas Agriculture,” and will run from September 30 through October 23 in Dallas’ historic Fair Park. You can find more information on the concert lineup and details on this year’s festivities at the Texas State Fair website.
