In her song “Pageant Material”, Kacey Musgraves cleverly explains why she doesn’t exactly fit into the beauty queen mold.
The rising star’s blunt attitude has gained her fans as well as critics within the industry, although negative critiques never really seem to affect her. Even so, it hasn’t stopped her from responding when others have directed less than kind words her way.
Miss Washington World 2015, Delia Lubanovici, was in attendance for Musgraves’ recent performance at the Bumbershoot Festival in Seattle. Afterwards, she took to Twitter and voiced her anger over the fact she couldn’t get a picture with the singer.

It didn’t take long for Musgraves to see the tweet and provide her own response to Lubanovici’s complaint.
@Delialubanovici What good is seeing live music if you cant get a picture with the artist so you can feel cool on the Internet.

It seems like Musgraves didn’t have any interest in continuing the conversation with Lubanovici, as Miss Washington later tweeted the artist had blocked her on Twitter.
I have officially made it in this world. My "favorite" artist @KaceyMusgraves blocked me on Twitter. Was I mean?
In a world where more and more people think they’re entitled to receive the time and attention of entertainers and musicians, Musgraves’ honest response should be applauded. Some people need a reminder that concerts are about enjoying the music and not about earning likes on Instagram.
You can see Kacey Musgraves on her Country and Western Rhinestone Revue tour, which is hitting venues across the U.S. through October. You can find a full list of dates at her official website.
