When it comes to country music, 2016 has been a year full of extremes. Traditional and 90s inspired sounds are making a comeback, even as pop-country still mostly reigns supreme on the airwaves.
Artists like Dierks Bentley and Keith Urban have released some of their most experimental albums ever, which infuse elements of rock, R&B and hip-hop. Now, it seems as though Justin Moore is hopping on that bandwagon for his latest single, “Somebody Else Will.”
The track has a definite early 2000s alt-rock vibe to it at times. Still, the chorus goes back to the familiar mixture of his powerful vocals and howling guitar. The catchy quality will likely be enough to win over longtime fans, even if they aren’t big into the rock sound.
“Somebody Else Will” is featured on Moore’s fourth studio album, Kinda Don’t Care. The record’s lead single, “You Look Like I Need a Drink,” hit No. 1 earlier this month.
