With Memorial Day on Monday, artists, television and radio personalities, and journalists are beginning to pay their respects to the United States troops — some in the most entertaining ways possible.

Included on the list of those who are tipping their hats to America’s heroes are Jimmy Fallon and Adam Sandler, who used a Garth Brooks favorite to honor our armed forces. Taking the infamous “Friends In Low Places” and changing it to “Friends On All Bases,” the comics used The Tonight Show stage for their salute.

Setting the tone for the performance, The Tonight Show audience was packed with soldiers who were in New York City for Fleet Week. Fallon and Sandler stepped on to the stage in cowboy hats, carrying guitars, and singing as an American flag waved behind them. With Fallon leading the song and Sandler incorporating his signature laughing lines, the two brought hysterics to the exceptional members of the audience.

The pair used the chorus to join forces, playing off Brooks’ original lyrics: “‘Cause I’ve friends on all bases, from the Navy up to the Air Forces aces and the Army greens, Coast Guard and Marines.”

Thank you to all of you who have served and continue to serve our country. We are proud of our friends on all bases!
