Texas Pastor’s Soulful Tribute to Whataburger’s Honey Butter Chicken Goes Viral

A McKinney pastor is going viral for his ode to Whataburger’s breakfast item, the Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit.

Fred Thomas is a comedian and a pastor. His talents combine in a song he’s dubbed “Something About This Biscuit.” It’s a soulful three-minute ode to the delicious Whataburger item that he can’t get enough of. This is funny, but it’s also pretty impressive. Thomas has got some serious vocal chops.

Thomas posted the video on his Facebook page, and it’s a huge hit. Since he posted it on Feb. 16, it’s had more than four million views.

Something about this biscuit / It is the best biscuit I know,” he sings in his soulful voice. “This honey butter chicken biscuit, I can’t explain. Every time I pass Whataburger I hear it call my name.”

According to WFAA, the impact his video this having is “blowing his mind.” It even reached Whataburger, who reached out to him on Facebook after they caught wind of the love song.

Although the video is Thomas professing his feelings about a biscuit, he also has a pretty good idea in the clip. He mentions that he’s waiting on the fast food chain to have buy one get one free on these delicious treats.

It’s your move, Whataburger.
