A mother manages to rescue two of her children even after being shot three times.
Mother Erin Stoffel is being hailed as a hero for saving her two children even after being shot three times. Stoffel’s children, 7-year-old son, Ezra, and 5-year-old daughter, Selah, were able to escape unharmed from a shooting at a pedestrian bridge in Menasha, Wisconsin. During the attack, Erin told her son to run for help, which police say helped save many lives that day.
Sadly, her 11-year-old daughter Olivia and husband Johnathon were killed during the shooting. One other man was killed in the attack before the gunman, Sergio Valencia Del Toro, turned the weapon on himself. Police say the victims were randomly targeted by the shooter who had been in an argument with his ex fiancée shortly before the attack.
A GoFundMe page has been created to raise funds for the family, and has currently raised over $120,000 in just two days.
