Zac Brown Band have joined the growing list of country artists journeying into the EDM genre with their latest collaboration.
The chart-topping group teamed up with EDM producer Avicii for the brand new track, “Broken Arrows.” The popular DJ premiered the track on the latest episode of his podcast, “Le7els.” Avicii has previously incorporated country and bluegrass themes in his music, including his two massively popular hits, “Wake Me Up” with Aloe Blacc and “Hey Brother” with bluegrass artist Dan Tyminski.
“Broken Arrows” is an energetic love song that supplies a joyful spirit that has made Avicii’s music so popular with the masses. If you traded out the electronic beats with the strum of a banjo, you’d have a track that would fit perfectly on any Zac Brown Band album. Even with a steady pounding beat throughout, Brown’s vocals stand out as the main focus of the catchy dance song.
The track will be featured on Avicii’s upcoming album, Stories, which will be released later this year. The album will reportedly feature collaborations with popular artists across many genres, including Green Day‘s Billie Joe Armstrong and Coldplay‘s Chris Martin.
Zac Brown Band’s Jekyll + Hyde is available in stores and online now. You can catch them on the road in support of their hit album across the U.S. through November.
