Written by Travis Meadows and Daniel Sanders, the lyrics describe how each of us need some sort of support to get through life’s ever-changing challenges. The emotional new track features backing vocals from Americana giant Jason Isbell, which brings a new layer of depth and feeling to the song’s reflective message.
The simple yet effective video shows Judd standing in a warmly-lit performance space alongside her band. Although Isbell himself doesn’t appear in the video, his heartfelt vocals shine through alongside Judd’s powerful lead. It’s a promising introduction to Judd’s new sound, which was inspired by traditional country, southern rock and both classic and modern Americana.
The single will be featured on Judd’s upcoming studio album, Wynonna & The Big Noise, set for release on February 12. The entire project was produced by Judd’s husband and longtime creative collaborator, Cactus Moser. The album will feature tracks written by some of the most celebrated songwriters in country, including Chris Stapleton, Julie Miller and Eagles bassist and vocalist Timothy B. Schmit.
