Luke Bryan has announced that the next single off of his Kill the Lights release will be “Huntin’, Fishin’ and Lovin’ Every Day.”
The is an ode to traditional country living. In the lyrics, Bryan proclaims his love for the simple things in life like black coffee, walking in the woods and of course, hunting, fishing and loving.
In true country boy fashion, Luke sings: “If I could make a living walking in the woods, you can bet I’d be sitting pretty good. High on a hill, looking at a field downwind. If I could make a nickel off of turnin’ them bass, never worry ‘bout the price of gas, I’d be wheelin’ and dealin’ and sittin’ there reelin’ em in.”
“Huntin’, fishin’ and lovin’ every day, that’s the prayer that a country boy prays,” he continues in the chorus.
Bryan wrote the mid-tempo tune with Dallas Davidson, Rhett Akins and Ben Hayslip. It’s clear that the co-writers share an appreciation for Georgia (where Luke is from), as the song references both the Muckalee Creek and Flint River.
This single is a follow-up to Bryan’s current steamy single “Home Alone Tonight,” that features Little Big Town‘s Karen Fairchild. Luke is currently on his Kill The Lights Tour, which will take him through the fall of 2016.
