In his first new single in over a year, George Strait tells us why we shouldn’t sweat the small stuff.
There’s good news for fans who have been craving new music from George Strait. The “King of Country” has released a new song entitled “Let It Go,” which marks the singer’s 94th single of his career.
The track, which was co-written with his son Bubba and Keith Gattis, sticks to Strait’s much-loved, traditional sound. The combination of universally relatable lyrics, subtle steel drum accents and overall breezy sound make the song poised for heavy rotation on country radio airwaves in the weeks to come.
Strait will perform the song live for the first time at this year’s 50th annual ACM Awards on April 19, which will be held at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The single will be formally released to country radio following the awards next week and is currently available for download now on iTunes.
