Hank Williams Jr. Announces New Album, ‘It’s About Time’

Hank Williams Jr. has announced the release date for his upcoming album, It’s About Time.

The 66-year-old released details of his new project through his social media pages on Oct. 26. It’s About Time will be available in stores and online Jan. 15.

Fans will be able to pre-order the album on Nov. 4, the same day Williams Jr. will perform his brand new single “Are You Ready for the Country” with Eric Church at the 49th annual CMA Awards.

It’s About Time will be Williams Jr.’s first release on Nash Icon Records, and will mark his 37th career studio album. The country star says he’s excited about his latest work, which supposedly channels the old school sound of his famous father, Hank Williams.

“We have made an album that is pure magic,” Williams told Rolling Stone Country. “The songs — some I wrote and others I got from great songwriters — are typical Hank Jr. songs and I think will connect with anyone who hears them.”

You can see Bocephus and Eric Church open the 49th annual CMA Awards, which will be broadcast live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena Nov 4. on ABC.
