Dancers Needed for PBS Show Filming at Gruene Hall

Calling all swing dancers in Central Texas: The Gruene Historical District is seeking fleet-footed persons for the filming of a PBS show at Gruene Hall on April 6.

KVUE.com reports that PBS will film Samantha Brown's Places to Love at the iconic dance hall.

The filming will take place from 6-10 p.m., with the gypsy jazz/Western swing band Hot Club of Cowtown providing the music. It's a free show, so all you have to do is show up.

Brown is an accomplished television personality who has hosted several shows on the Travel Channel. Brown shares her passion by not just showing the must do's, but also by focusing on the region's people, their culture and having the opportunity to spend time in their everyday lives. A visit to Gruene Hall for live music and dancing is a certainly great way to showcase the culture of central Texas.
