Granger Smith is gearing up for a two-day trek that will take him to some of the most patriotic locales in America.
The “Backroad Song” singer just announced the Granger Across Merica Pledge of Allegiance Tour, which will take him to the country’s 13 original colonies on March 6 and 7. At each location, Granger will recite the Pledge of Allegiance as a way of honoring his country and those who protect it.
“I’ve always felt compelled to voice my love of this country,” Granger said in a press release. “My granddad and so many countless others have fought for our freedom. That freedom allows us as Americans to pursue our dreams and I am proof they can come true. I feel blessed to have a platform that may inspire others to remember what this nation was founded on. I hope folks will join me in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance as a symbol of our thanks for those who defend our God-given rights.”
In recent years, Smith has dedicated time to honoring America’s armed forces by performing for troops overseas and founding the 100-Mile Boot Walk, which helps fund programs to support military personnel and their loved ones after they return home from war.
The special trip will also coincide with the release of Smith’s highly-anticipated new album, Remington. Fans who want to get up a glimpse of the rising country star can follow his travel schedule below.
