Martina McBride Joins 4-Year-Old Girl to Serenade Sick Mother

Warning: You’re going to need an entire box of tissues before watching this video.

Country Star Martina McBride helped 4-year-old McKenna surprise her mom with her Grammy-nominated hit “I’m Gonna Love You Through It.”

McKenna’s tribute to her mother recently went viral after it was shared by Ellen Degeneres. That video features the young girl singing to her mother, Dianna Stanchak, who is currently battling Stage 4 Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Ellen, along with the rest of the internet, was so touched by this young girl’s song that she invited the entire family to her talk show.

With a little television and country music magic, McKenna was able to give her mom a surprise serenade one more time, this time with Martina McBride by her side.

The performance not only brought Ellen, Dianna and her mother, Dee Silvernail, to tears, but it is sure to do the same to you.

“I’m Gonna Love You Through It” was written by Ben Hayslip, Sonya Isaacs and Jimmy Yeary and released by McBride July 2011 as the second single from her album Eleven. It was nominated at the 54th Grammy Awards for Best Country Solo Performance.
