Country superstar George Strait may have retired from touring, but he’s ready to hit the road again in 2018.

This morning (Oct. 24), he was announced as the headliner for 2018’s Bayou Country Superfest at Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans. The festival, scheduled for May 27, will also feature Chris Stapleton, Little Big Town, Kacey Musgraves and Midland.

The announcement may signal Strait’s intentions to hit the country music festival circuit next summer. He’s already announced a handful of solo shows, but it’s been years since Strait has made any festival appearances. With many more festival lineups scheduled to be announced in the coming weeks, don’t be surprised to see his name pop up a few more times.
