It looks like Garth Brooks has hit a snag in his plans to release new material in the coming months.
In a new interview with Milwaukee’s Journal Sentinel, he revealed that six months’ worth of new music had been lost, thanks to a fried cell phone.
“Here’s where the old guy gets into technology, which is bad,” Brooks joked. “All the new stuff which I’ve been working on for six months is on a phone that’s been fried, and I can’t get the phone to come back up. It’s like losing your briefcase back in the Nineties!”
Aside from his own solo work, a Christmas duet album with wife Trisha Yearwood will probably not be released in time for the 2015 holiday season due to Brooks’ dead phone. Let’s hope that this hard lesson will teach Brooks to always back up his data from now on.
The Garth Brooks World Tour With Trisha Yearwood will head to Cleveland, Phoenix, Salt Lake City and San Diego in the coming months, with more dates expected to be announced.
