Garth Brooks is teaming up with Target to release a massive 10-disc box set. Dubbed Garth Brooks: The Ultimate Collection, the Target exclusive drops Nov. 11 — just ahead of the highly anticipated new album.
In fact, the box set contains an exclusive version of the new (as of yet, unnamed) album. Similar to other Target versions, the albums features special tracks you can only get at the store.
The other nine (!) discs feature curated music remastered in “thematic” playlists. The box set also features previously unreleased and never-before-heard tunes. Go ahead and take a minute to process all that.
“Target has always been a friend to artists and their music,” Brooks said in a press release. “This holiday season is going to be amazing with a new album, plus a boxed set with never-before-released music from the vault and music you can’t hear or get anywhere else.”
Indeed, Target seems determined to save CD sales almost single-handedly. The massive chain partners with artists all the time to sell exclusive versions of CDs with bonus tracks. Of course, this box set takes it to a whole new level.
We still don’t know a lot of pertinent information, including the price of the box set or the track listing. But we do know it’s available Nov. 11, and we’ll be first in line to snatch one up.
