After an overwhelming demand from fans, country musician Garth Brooks has added five additional dates in Dallas for his massive world tour.
Brooks initially announced just two Dallas concerts for the Garth Brooks World Tour, on Sept. 18 and 19 at the American Airlines Center. Tickets for those two dates went on sale the morning of July 24 and over 100,000 were sold before noon. This drove the musician to add two more shows on the original dates, as well as new ones on Sept. 17, 20 and 22.
The string of Dallas concerts will be the first after a 10-week touring break for Brooks. He says his extended time performing across the country has inspired him to debut a completely new stage production and design in Dallas.
“We have taken a lot of looks at what’s working, gotten rid of the things that weren’t, and we’re coming out with a brand-new look,” Brooks told 102.3 BlakeFM. “We’re gonna re-design the whole video world, the wings of the stage are a little different, and the set list is starting to fall into the sweet spot.”
The 53-year-old artist says he’s excited for the new changes, which will surprise even those fans who attended dates on the first leg of his tour.
“If anybody came to Tulsa, or down to Houston or over to New Orleans or whatever, this is gonna be a different look than what they saw.”
