This photo of different foods cut into precise cubes has is strangely satisfying to look at.
It’s hard to believe at first glance that this colorful image of almost 100 different foods is actually just a simple photograph.
Conceptual design studio Lernert & Sander was commissioned to make a special photography project for a Dutch newspaper. The result was this visually stunning photograph of 98 unprocessed foods cut into precise 2.5 cm cubes.
The cubes are perfectly spaced out in a grid, which gives it an almost unreal visual effect.
A closer look at the photo shows the precision in which each cube was cut and centered.
Can you name all 98 foods in the photo? This is one piece of art that you might find yourself staring at for a long time.
If you’re wondering which foods are shown in this photo, a user at Reddit created this cheat sheet that reveals what these tiny squares actually are made of.
Can’t get enough of these cool cubes? The studio is selling limited copies of the photo that are signed by the artists at their website.
