NASCAR and country music will unite for Dega Jam, the first country music festival to be held at Talladega Superspeedway.
Just a few weeks after the announcement of the Country 500 at Daytona International Speedway in Florida, the same company released details of a similar festival in Alabama. The new event will take place July 1-3, 2016, and will be headlined by Eric Church, Blake Shelton, Toby Keith and Kid Rock.
The lineup focuses on mainstream country and southern rock, and includes Hank Williams Jr., Lynyrd Skynyrd, Billy Currington, Lee Brice, Kip Moore, Martina McBride, Gary Allan and Tyler Farr. Country newcomers Raelynn, Mo Pitney, The Swon Brothers and Chris Janson are also set to perform.
The festival will feature three stages of music spread across the speedway’s infield, and campsites will be available. There will also be a large fireworks display to mark the 4th of July weekend.
“Being the biggest race track in NASCAR and having nearly 3,000 acres of unlimited camping opportunities, Dega Jam is uniquely positioned to become one of the — if not the — biggest country music festival in the country,” said Grant Lynch, chairman of Talladega Superspeedway.
General Admission three-day passes, VIP packages and camping passes for Dega Jam are currently on sale at DegaJam.com
