NBC is giving fans a second chance to see Dolly Parton‘s celebrated made-for-TV movie this Christmas.
Coat of Many Colors will once again be broadcast on the network Christmas Day, Dec. 25, at 9 p.m. ET. The choice to re-air the film, starring Sugarland‘s Jennifer Nettles, Ricky Schroder and 9-year-old Alyvia Alyn Lind, came after 13.2 million viewers tuned into the first broadcast on Dec. 10. Thanks to those record-breaking numbers, Coat of Many Colors is now the most-watched television movie in more than six years.
“I hoped to bring some families together so they could sit and watch a movie like this,” Parton said in a statement. “I’m so blessed and thankful for everyone who watched and I hope this story reaches many, many more when NBC shows it Christmas night.”
