Dolly Parton Visits Boy with Down Syndrome to Sing Duet [VIDEO]

Dolly Parton and a young fan sing an off-the-cuff medley of her classic songs. 

Kenny Rogers who? Gage Blackwell, a young boy afflicted with Down syndrome, received the opportunity of a lifetime when country legend Dolly Parton paid him a visit to harmonize on some of her most famous songs.

Together they sang “Jolene,” “9 to 5” and Johnny Cash’s “Ring of Fire.” They also sang Dolly and Kenny Rogers duet “Islands in the Stream,” after which she called her counterpart “Gage Rogers,” and exclaimed, “That’s better than Kenny!”


 

Dolly Parton has a new project of her own. She is working on a Christmas movie based on “A Coat of Many Colors.”
