Houstonians rejoice! Country legend Dolly Parton is finally bringing her Pure & Simple Tour to the NRG Arena later this year.
The 70-year-old country legend is currently on her largest tour in 25 years in support of her upcoming album, Pure & Simple. The record, which is set for release on Aug. 19, will feature brand new material and rerecordings of Parton’s biggest career hits.
“We’re so excited to get out there and see the fans again. I’m really looking forward to singing songs the fans have not heard in a while, as well as the hits, while debuting a few new ones off Pure & Simple,” Parton said in a press release.
Parton says the concert will feature a simple, “stripped-down” accompaniment and will focus on the stories behind the songs. Parton has announced more than 60 tour dates so far, including a stop at Austin’s Frank Erwin Center on Dec. 6.
If you want to see Parton’s long-awaited return to Houston in person, you can grab tickets for just $49.50-$149.50. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. CDT on Friday, July 15 via Ticketmaster. You’ll want to be quick, because Parton’s shows have been selling out in record time.
