Dierks Bentley Replacing Blake Shelton as 2016 ACM Awards Co-Host

It looks like Dierks Bently will join Luke Bryan as the brand new co-host for the 2016 ACM Awards.

Blake Shelton is stepping down as co-host for the 51st annual Academy of Country Music award ceremony after five straight years. Luke Bryan served alongside Shelton for the last three years, but that’s all about to change.

In this video released by Entertainment Tonight and the ACMs, Bryan is seen sitting in a dark bar after getting the news that he’ll no longer be joined onstage by his longtime cohort Shelton. As he runs through a list of qualifications for the next lucky contender, a mysterious bartender tries to soften the blow by serving him up a tall beer. The voice of this unseen barkeep will likely seem eerily familiar to many country fans. In fact, it’s Dierks Bentley.
