After announcing the birth of his twins and releasing his Uncovered EP, David Nail dealt fan’s another dose of good news. The 37-year old with golden pipes announced his fourth album, Fighter, will is set for release on July 15.
Nail’s most recent single, “Night’s On Fire,” is the first taste from Fighter. It’s a hooky country rocker that carries a similar vibe as his No. 1 single “Whatever She’s Got.” Nail says Fighter is his favorite record to date, and attributes doing the whole record in one sitting to a theme and coherency.
In the meantime, Uncovered features five very different songs (four of which are covers from artists including Adele, Elvis and The Weeknd) that all tie into Nail’s love of music and help explain the creation of Fighter.
In a statement, Nail says, “As I looked ahead to begin the process of recording my fourth studio album for MCA Nashville, I realized that music is one thing I lean on consistently to get me through or remind me how lucky I am to be doing what I love.”
“I am really excited,” Nail continues, “to be able to share some of the music, outside of my own, that has meant something to me. This is just a small taste of some of the music that has challenged me, music that I enjoy performing, listening to, or that I have related to in some capacity along the way in my journey to Fighter.”
