On the day of our wedding Craig had me watch a video he had made to tell me how much he loved me. I am so thankful for technology in this moment because I will always have this. I watched this privately prior to walking down the aisle, and so now I want to share this small excerpt with all of you. Thank you @stylistmeganfarmer for helping him make this. I will cherish it for ever. “Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints. Psalms 116:15” Thank you Lord for sharing #craigstrickland with me. You allowed me to borrow him on this earth, but he was always Yours. I will forever cherish our year of marriage. This was truly the type of man you were and will always be remembered as. I love you Craig Michael.
Craig Strickland’s wife, Helen, shared a clip of a video that her husband made for their wedding day in 2014.
Craig made the video for his wife, the former Miss Arkansas, to play before they walked down the aisle in November 2014. In the video, Craig expresses his love for Helen.
“There will be times when we’re sitting in our car and stuff, where, you don’t know this, but I’ll look over and be like ‘This is the person that God created for me’, and that’s really special to me, and I couldn’t be more lucky.”
“I am so thankful for technology in this moment because I will always have this,” wrote Helen on her Instagram page. “I will cherish it for ever.”
Craig was the lead singer for the country band Backroad Anthem. He went missing on Dec. 27 after going on a duck hunting trip with friend Chase Morland. Both men died when their boat capsized. Morland’s body was recovered on Dec. 28 along with Strickland’s dog, who was alive and guarding Morland’s body. Strickland was found on Monday along the shores of Oklahoma’s Kaw Lake near the site where their boat capsized.
