Cody Jinks to Curate Fort Worth Music Festival This Summer

Stock up on sunscreen and find a bandana to keep the sweat out of your eyes. An exciting music festival curated by Cody Jinks is slated to take place in his hometown of Fort Worth, Texas this August. The Loud and Heavy Festival will have 10 to 12 bands playing all day at a venue fit for about 15K people.

Right now, there aren't any concrete details about the Loud and Heavy Festival other than that manager Arthur Penhallow Jr. told Pollstar that his client Cody Jinks would choose the acts. They plan on partnering with AEG Presents to put on the show.

The upcoming fest is named after Jinks' big hit off of his 2015 album, Adobe Sessions. The song introduced Jinks to many new fans who appreciate his connection to the roots of country music and his aversion to pop influences.

By the time the Loud and Heavy Festival rolls around, Jinks plans to have his 8th studio record out called Lifers. Perhaps a couple of Penhallow's other clients, such as Whitey Morgan and Blue Water Highway, who also have albums coming out in the first half of 2018, will make their way on to the festival bill.
