It's been a difficult month for the world of country music, but the genre's legacy and unwavering spirit takes center stage in the new promo for the 2017 CMA Awards.

Country stars Garth Brooks, Keith Urban and Kelsea Ballerini join co-hosts Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley in the moving clip. The artist are seen exploring a house filled with memorabilia from throughout country music history.

Details of the award show have been scarce. But it's likely to have a different mood and setup than past years. The events of the Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting have caused a big shift in ceremonies like this and CMT's Artist of the Year Awards. Instead of focusing on accolades, artists will likely spend more time on the music and their connection with fans. There will also likely be a segment to honor all of the Las Vegas shooting victims.

This year, Brooks and Underwood will take the stage to sing during the Nov. 8 ceremony. Chris Stapleton, Miranda Lambert, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Thomas Rhett, Old Dominion, Brothers Osborne, Jon Pardi and Little Big Town are also scheduled to perform.

Wide Open Country will have continuing coverage of all the CMA Awards festivities.
