Clint Black and his wife Lisa Hartman Black have recorded their first duet in 14 years. With the release of their first collaborative hit in 1999, “When I Said I Do”, country fans and industry leaders were shocked the female actresses’ vocal chops. Although she was celebrated for her voice, Hartman Black stepped back from the singing spotlight after recording another duet with her husband in 2001.
Now, the two longtime lovebirds are sharing a brand new duet, “You Still Get to Me”. The track is featured on Black’s latest full-length release, On Purpose. The record, which is available in stores and online now, marks Black’s 21st studio album, and the beginning of a new chapter in his long and impressive career.
On Purpose is Black’s first full-length album in over a decade, and provides the classic Clint Black sound that longtime fans will quickly connect to. The emotion he feels for his music and his wife is apparent throughout “You Still Get to Me”, an upbeat and inspiring ode to his marriage of 24 years.
