Chuck Norris is known for his crime-fighting moves on camera, but now he’s fighting for something else – your health.
Norris and his wife are launching a Texas bottled water company called CForce. The actor extraordinaire tells WWL News that he founded the company after stumbling upon an artesian well in his hay fields. The couple hit the well, which was “spilling 168,000 gallons of water a day,” while attempting to water their crops.
After some research, they discovered that the well is over 23,000 years old. This revelation inspired the Norris family to launch their own line of bottled water. Now, the company is opening a 43,000-square-foot facility to bottle the delicious water.
Naturally, the company’s marketing team is making the most out of Chuck Norris’ name. On their website, the Chuck Norris bottled water company says their water “bursts from an artesian spring with the same unharnessed power and intensity you’d expect from Chuck Norris’ roundhouse kick.”
Norris and crew do say they realize they will need to compete with the big name water companies if they want to find success. But Norris believes fans will fall in love with his water because it simply tastes better. By using very little filtering, the company says the water tastes natural, crisp and clean.
While they will surely see profits from the water they sell, Norris and his wife say they care more about kicking health to a higher level. They hope that having this great option in the water industry will encourage more people to drink water. The Chron reports that the company is donating a portion of the sales to Norris’ non-profit karate organization for at-risk kids, “Kickstart Kids.”
