Breakthrough singer-songwriter Chris Stapleton‘s incredible voice helped him walk away from the 2016 Grammy Awards with two trophies in hand.
On Feb. 17, Stapleton stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live to give fans a preview of his new concept album, full of songs that are guaranteed to make you cringe.
Appropriately titled “Cringeworthy,” the fictional project features hits like the rather blunt “Panties,” and “Nom-Nom, Yummy, Nom-Nom,” an ode to food lovers everywhere.
Stapleton kicks up the romance for his sultry track “Ladyfriend,” before adding an extra dash of sex appeal in “Vajayjay.” The cringeworthy factor hits an all-time high when he reveals “Moist and Juicy,” which is touted as “the breakout love song of 2016.”
Don’t worry, country’s best new artist hasn’t gone off the deep end. These short but sweet musical tidbits were simply created to bring fans a few laughs. It’s nice to see a chart-topping artist who is unafraid to poke a little fun at himself. Let’s just keep our fingers crossed that “Moist and Juicy” doesn’t make it onto the track listing of his next studio album.
