See Chris Stapleton’s Commanding Performance of ‘I Was Wrong’ on ‘Austin City Limits’

Over the weekend, Chris Stapleton‘s Oct. 2017 performance from the Moody Theater stage in Austin premiered on the Austin City Limits TV series.

Stapleton’s performance of “I Was Wrong” stood out due to his somehow simultaneously ferocious and soothing vocals culminating in a lengthy guitar solo. Viewers get an up-close and personal look at Stapleton’s hands effortlessly navigating the guitar, thanks to the flawless filming of ACL, which has been on the air since 1976.

The setlist for the taping particularly centered around songs off of Stapleton’s albums From A Room: Volume 1 and Traveller since From A Room: Volume 2 was released later in the year. Stapleton’s full setlist included the songs: “Hard Livin’,” “Traveller,” “Fire Away,” “Second One to Know,” “Whiskey & You” and “Tennessee Whiskey.” Other standout performaces that can be found on YouTube include the soul-infused track “Second One to Know”  and the understated “Tryin’ To Untangle My Mind.”
