In celebration of the 50th annual CMA Awards, late night host and comedian Jimmy Kimmel supplied a new installment of his always hilarious “Mean Tweets” series.
This time around, Kimmel brought together Miranda Lambert, Chris Stapleton, Dolly Parton (yes, there are actually people who somehow dislike Dolly) and many more top country stars who took on some internet trolls. Some are simply lighthearted disses, while others get a little more… personal. See for yourself below.
Of course, all of the artists take the insults in stride. After all, they get to have the last laugh on national television. Plus, you know, they’re doing alright for themselves with that whole music thing.
This isn’t the first time that country stars have been featured in Kimmel’s “Mean Tweets” skit. Check out last year’s post-CMA tweet reading, featuring Carrie Underwood, Kacey Musgraves and more.
