Chris Stapleton Invites 8-Year-Old Fan Onstage for an Adorable Duet

Chris and Morgane Stapleton stopped their show in Phoenix, Ariz. to let an adorable, pint-sized rock star take the stage.

8-year-old Vedder Ellis was attending the show at Ak-Chin Pavilion with his parents when something incredible happened. Stapleton spotted the youngster, clad in a Chris Cornell t-shirt, sitting in the crowd. He quickly pulled him onstage and let him take the lead for the chorus of "Tennessee Whiskey."

The amazing moment was caught on video and has quickly gone viral. Vedder's parents shared the clip on Facebook, along with a heartfelt message of thanks.

"Vedder had a tough week with the passing of one of his favorite artists Chris Cornell. It was destiny that KMLE Country 107.9 upgraded our seats to Pit Passes and the rest is history," Ellis's father said. "Our son has been singing since before he could talk and his whole world is music. Thanks to Chris Stapleton and his beautiful wife Morgane Stapleton for creating such an amazing moment for Vedder."
