Rest easy, America, knowing your elected officials are hard at work. On Wednesday afternoon, senators from Texas and Arkansas held a blind test taste in the nation’s capital to decide whether Arkansas cheese dip or Texas queso is the superior cheese product. Arkansas won.
Arkansas senators John Boozman and Ted Cotton hosted the event with Texas senators John Cornyn and Ted Cruz.
Heights Taco & Tamale Co. of Little Rock provided the cheese dip. Queso from Uncle Julio’s in Dallas was flown to Washington, D.C. Senators took a break for the cheese dips during their weekly Republican Steering Committee lunch.

Senator Cornyn later tweeted this:
Next time we'll make sure the queso is warm, not cold. Nobody eats cold queso – or at least it is not the preferred presentation. https://t.co/UPyZP4jXZW

The debate first started last month when the Wall Street Journal published an article that claimed Arkansas lays claim to queso.
No word yet on whether Ted Cruz has changed his mind and sided with Arkansas after their win.
