After teasing fans with a preview of the song this past Sunday, Carrie Underwood has dropped the full version of her new track "The Champion."
The cut was co-written by Underwood, Brett James, Chris DeStefano, and Christopher Bridges, better know by his stage name Ludacris. The lyrics are a mashup of motivational phrases meant to inspire the listener, whether they are training for a sport or just going after a personal goal.
"When we were writing 'The Champion,' our main focus was to celebrate athletes at the top of their game, but we also wanted the song to resonate with people in their everyday lives," Underwood said in a statement. "We hope the lyrics will inspire people to push themselves beyond their limits to conquer anything they are trying to accomplish or overcome. There's a champion in every single one of us!"

Fittingly, the song will be featured in NBC Sports' upcoming coverage of the 2018 Olympic Winter Games and the Super Bowl. It's unclear if the track will also be included in a new record from Underwood, which is still rumored to drop sometime this year.
