Fans of Carrie Underwood have a lot to be excited about.
After taking a hiatus from the industry to give birth and spend time with her newborn son, Isaiah, the 32-year-old is back with new music.
In a live video chat on Facebook, Underwood shared that “Smoke Break” would be her next single. “I’m so excited for you guys to hear it,” she exclaimed during the chat.
“The song itself is one of those story songs I feel like everybody can relate to, about how life is so hectic,” she said. “It’s so nice when — if and when — you actually get to step away for a second. We all need that, and we all need that time to ourselves and to get to take a break.”
The track will be featured on her fifth studio album, Storyteller. The record will be the first full-length album of new music since Underwood released Blown Away in 2012.
Storyteller is scheduled for release Oct. 2. “Smoke Break” has been released to country radio and is now available to stream.
