Carrie Underwood to Present at 2017 Golden Globes

The 2017 Golden Globes are going a little country this Sunday (Jan. 8) with Carrie Underwood listed as a presenter.

According to Nash Country Daily, she'll be on stage to hand out two awards alongside Sting. Together they'll announce the winners for Best Original Score and Best Original Song.

The Best Original Song category along is stacked with talent! "Faith" from the film Sing received a nod as did Justin Timberlake's "Can't Stop the Feeling!" from the film Trolls. Songs from Gold, Moana and La La Land are also nominated.

Underwood understands the pressure that comes with being nominated in that category firsthand. In 2011, "There's a Place for Us," a track she co-wrote with Hillary Lindsey and and David Hodges received its own nomination. It appeared in the film Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader but ultimately lost to "You Haven't Seen the Last of Me" from Burlesque.

The "Dirty Laundry" singer joins an impressive list of presenters including Ben and Casey Affleck, Kristen Bell, Pierce Brosnan, Jessica Chastain, Leonardo Dicaprio, Hugh Grant, John Hamm, Chris Hemsworth, John Legend, Ryan Reynolds, Sting, Emma Stone, Vince Vaughn, Kristen Wiig and more.

Jimmy Fallon will host the 2017 Golden Globes live from the Beverly Hilton Hotel in California beginning at 7PM ET on NBC. The full list of nominees are available on the Golden Globes official website.
