Country duo, Brooks & Dunn, are set to receive the NASH Icon Award at the upcoming American Country Countdown Awards.

According to the ACCA’s, the Icon Award is “given to an artist whose extraordinary talent has influenced generations of musicians and honors the accomplishments and artistry of the recipient.”

Brooks & Dunn (comprised of singer-songwriters Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn) are the best-selling country duo in music history. Their illustrious career has included 23 No. 1 singles, two Grammy’s and 27 ACM trophies. Brooks & Dunn have won over 80 industry awards total.

The Icon Award will be presented to them by their dear friend, Reba McEntire. McEntire received this exact award in 2014, and it was presented to her by Brooks. The duo and McEntire currently have a Vegas show together at Caesars Palace called Reba, Brooks & Dunn: Together in Vegas which kicks off in May.

“Brooks & Dunn have indelibly etched their legacy as the biggest-selling duo in country music history,” remarks ACCA executive VP Mark Bracco of the honor. “Their outstanding career achievements have influenced legions of artists and fans alike, and we’re proud to recognize their tremendous success and ongoing musical impact with this well-deserved award.”

The ACCA’s will air on May 1st at 8/7c on FOX.
