Brett Eldredge Channels Frank Sinatra in ‘Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas’

Brett Eldredge’s smokey tenor was made for holiday standards. It goes down like a shot of smooth whiskey (and packs an emotional punch).

During a performance at Skull’s Rainbow Room in downtown Nashville, the “Lose My Mind” singer ebbed and flowed on a jazzy rendition of “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.”

All suited up in a clean cut tux, he fit the song like a glove, and as the piano and orchestral instruments swelled, Eldredge’s voice soared even higher. A truly beautiful moment!

“God bless you all and to this band,” he introduced the performance. “Merry Christmas!” And a Merry Christmas to you, too, Mr. Soul Man.

Speaking of soul, Eldredge certainly knows how to move and groove in his own music, too. With singles like “Don’t Ya” and “Beat of the Music” (from his Bring You Back debut), he became the vocalist of a new class of male singers bringing undeniable power back to the radio. Also, his sophomore album

Also, his sophomore album Illinois, released this fall, contains similarly moving and potent tracks, like the title cut and the “Lose It All” tearjerker.
