UPDATE: Authorities say the shooter has died and one student is hospitalized after an incident at Alpine High School this morning.
ABC News reports that a female shot another female student inside a bathroom before turning the gun on herself. It is unclear if the shooter was a student at the school.
According to KWES, the sheriff’s office received reports of an active shooter at the school around 9 am. The campus and surrounding schools were immediately placed on “critical lockdown.” According to MySanAntonio, the sheriff’s office said there were possibly two shooters on the loose, but no other information could be confirmed at this time.
The Brewster County Sheriff’s office has reported that they are currently searching for two shooters. This is an active situation, so stay tuned to Wide Open Country for continuing updates.
