Following the devastating terrorist attacks in Paris over the weekend, Brantley Gilbert has decided to pull the plug on his current European tour.
On Nov. 21, terrorists coordinated six attacks across the French capital, including a shooting and hostage situation at a concert venue. Islamic terrorist group ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attacks which killed 129 people and injured over 300.
Soon after the attacks, Gilbert’s camp took to social media to announced their decision to cancel all of their upcoming tour dates. “Out of respect for the lives lost in yesterday’s terrorist attacks, we have decided to postpone the rest of our European dates,” Gilbert posted on Facebook. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of France at this tragic time. WE WILL BE BACK.”
Gilbert’s Black Out Tour kicked off in Amsterdam on Nov. 11. Rescheduled dates are expected to be announced in the coming weeks. The singer is set to continue the American leg of the tour on Jan. 28 in Saginaw, Mich.
