One of the standout moments from the 2015 Grammy Awards was when Brandy Clark and Dwight Yoakam performed a duet of Clark’s tender lover song, “Hold My Hand.” Following the Grammy’s, the pair went into the studio to record the duet. That is finally out today (Oct. 28), and it’s one you don’t want to miss.

Clark is widely regarded as one of the best songwriters in the business, and she has one of the most beautiful voices in country. Pair that with Yoakam’s signature Kentucky croon, and you’ve got a duet that sounds might purty. Yoakam lends his voice to the chorus, adding new life to the track.

Yoakam first met Clark when they were opening for Eric Church on his Outsiders tour a couple years ago. As Dwight would get ready for his shows backstage, he could faintly hear Clark’s set.

“I would just hear this beautiful, echoing musical aura that would drift into the hallways of various arenas we were in,” Yoakam said, according to The Boot. “I was drawn to it every time I heard it.”

Clark and Yoakam didn’t meet until the final night of the tour. We’re glad they did!
