As a musical guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Blake Shelton plays charades with Fallon, Kit Harington (Game of Thrones) and Rose Byrne (X-Men: Apocalypse). Fallon and Shelton are paired up, and they may just be the most hilarious charades team ever. Boy, was the audience in for a treat that night.
Byrne and Harington kick things off, and they look like seasoned charades pros as Harington gets Byrne to guess “Single Ladies” with plenty of time to spare. When it’s Fallon’s turn to have Blake guess, they don’t even get past guessing that it’s a “play.”
The word is “Cats” and Fallon teases Shelton saying, “I don’t know if you’re going to get this, man. You live in the middle of nowhere. Don’t you live on a ranch or something? All your friends are like animals.” Shelton fires back jokingly, “Do you even know how to change a flat tire? Don’t talk about real men like that.”
On the next go around, Shelton gets Fallon to guess The Jungle Book after wondering how something can be both a book and a movie. At the end of the game, the teams do a double play with Harington and Shelton trying to act out the song “I Can’t Feel My Face” for their teammates. No one guesses it correctly, and even though it was a tie, Harington and Byrne are declared the winners.
The best part of the whole thing was watching Shelton and Fallon either embracing one another or picking on each other. Shelton closed the show on a serious note, though, performing his new song, “Came Here to Forget.” The song is a track off of his upcoming album, If I’m Honest, set for release on May 20th.
