Backroad Anthem singer Craig Strickland is missing after going on a hunting trip in Oklahoma with a close friend over the weekend.
On Monday, the body of Strickland’s friend, Chase Morland, was recovered.
In a haunting message posted to his Twitter page on Dec. 26, Morland shared with friends and fans that he and Strickland were preparing to encounter bad weather while heading out on a hunting trip together.
The pair were reportedly last seen two hours after the tweet was posted as they headed towards Tulsa. Strickland and Morland’s families reported them missing on Saturday after they failed to make contact for over 24 hours.
According to News9.com, authorities found a boat which the two men were believed to be on capsized in an unnamed body of water early Monday morning.

Backroad Anthem is a country band based out of Arkansas who have opened for many large popular artists, including Luke Bryan, Eli Young Band and Dierks Bentley. Many fellow country artists, including Granger Smith, have begun to share their shock at the news through social media.
