Melinda Lorge

Melinda Lorge found her forte at 10–years–old when she won a creative writing contest and was later approached by a stranger who wanted to buy her self–penned poem. At age 16, she challenged her writing skills by picking up the guitar to put her words to music and won an Appleton Arts Center Songwriting Competition in Appleton, Wisconsin. After High School, she made the bold decision to move from her rural hometown in North East Wisconsin to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue her writing even further. While studying at Middle Tennessee State University, she acquired five esteemed internships with WTVF News Channel 5, Sweet Talk Publicity, Country Music Television, Nashville Lifestyles Magazine and Rolling Stone Country. When Melinda is not busy writing, she can be found hiking along the Tennessee trails, fueling her coffee addiction at a nearby coffee shop or looking up how to make new recipes.
