Jon Pardi’s “Head Over Boots” hit No. 5 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart last week. Even better, the lead single off Pardi’s sophomore album climbed to No. 6 on the Country Airplay chart. After 46 weeks on the chart, Pardi has a serious shot of getting to No. 1
In honor of reaching No. 5 on one chart and heading towards No. 5 on another, here are 5 things you didn’t know about Jon Pardi. Some favorite factoids include, “I like ripping down trees in my tractor… and planting things, that’s a new thing.”
Oh, and he may not be much for sweets, but man, he loves a good creme brûlée.
Pardi’s success comes in a real genuine way. The singer shares more in common with the Eric Church’s and Zac Brown’s of the world.
That’s because he’s been building his career from the ground up. Or, as he calls it, the “headline and grind” method. Which means he and his band just get out on the road and play shows, instead of trying to break a big song through marketing first.
Of course, having the success of “Head Over Boots” certainly helps. And because the song is so genuinely “Jon Pardi,” it’s attracting a whole breed of country fans who may otherwise not listen to mainstream country radio.
