A young and innovative designer has built one of the most stylish and compact homes in Austin, Texas.
According the interior design website Lonny, Kim Lewis decided to try her hand at creating a tiny house that’s packed with unique design elements and pops of color. The home, which was custom-built for homeowners Aaron and Meredith, is made up of two mobile trailers that are connected by a deck area.
One trailer holds the living and dining space, while the other features a sleeping area and laundry loft. The space was the perfect fit for the couple who moved to the area in order to open a new urban winery.
“I definitely see it as a reflection of the housing industry—the desire to better find a way to live within your means,” Lexis explained to Lonny. “It also represents a free-spirited philosophy; many young couples want or need the flexibility to travel or to live in multiple destinations. This style of living allows for that.”

The living and kitchen area features plenty of room to kick back and relax or to whip up a delicious dinner.
The kitchen has plenty of counter space to prepare meals, and smaller-sized stainless steel appliances ensure that you get all the modern conveniences you need.
These small shelves allow lots of storage space for everything from cookbooks to wine glasses.
In the second trailer, a full-sized bathroom is tucked in the corner behind two stunning sliding doors.
The unique tile floor gives you a burst of confidence every time you walk inside.
Bright white walls and pops of color in the bedroom area make the space feel airy and peaceful.
Above the air condition unit, there’s a loft space that acts as both a closet and laundry area.
The stunning deck is a great place to soak up some rays or entertain guests.
A Mexican blanket-inspired cushion also makes the built-in seating area feel fun and inviting.
